About the Event

The United Nations was not created to take mankind to heaven, but to save humanity from hell.

Dag Hammarskjöld

Emanating from the concept of leadership, authority, and ambition, Emporio Youth Summit is inspired by the Latin term “Imperium”, implying command, influence, and shaping the world around us.

Just as the concept of Imperium implies leading with a vision, Emporio Youth Summit brings together young people willing to think critically, collaborate, deliberate and lead. The summit is a space where ideas transcend boundaries, and the ideas of the current generation of youth become the building blocks of the future.

Emporio is not only a conference but also an experience tailored specifically for cultivating leadership, thinking and changing the world around you. With meaningful discussions, engaging workshops, and the whole atmosphere of collaboration, participants of Emporio Youth Summit will be encouraged to think outside the box and accept the responsibility of being a leader.

Be it your first conference or not, Emporio Youth Summit invites you to the realm of ideas, leadership and impact.

This is where ambition finds its way, leadership finds its purpose and youth finds its Emporio.

The Docket

Eight committees, one chamber.

Select a committee to read its mandate. Hard security, planetary policy, social instruments, domestic federalism, one auction room that does not behave like the rest, the press corps that will report on all of it, a table that convenes entirely online, and one brief nobody has been cleared to read.

Specialized

United Nations General Assembly

UNGA

Agenda

Deliberation upon the resurgence of jihadist insurgency in the Sahel region, with special emphasis on strengthening regional security cooperation in Mali and Burkina Faso.

A hard security brief set in the most unstable stretch of West Africa. Delegations will have to reconcile competing priorities between stabilisation, sovereignty and the civilian cost of both.

Emporio Youth Summit was not born out of a desire to simply host another youth gathering; it was built from a firm conviction that young minds possess the clarity, courage, and audacity required to rethink the future.

In a world often saturated with noise and surface-level rhetoric, true leadership is measured by the ability to listen with depth, analyze with rigor, and act with unyielding purpose. We created Emporio to serve as an incubator for that exact standard: a space where conventional wisdom is constructively challenged, where diverse perspectives collide, and where actionable solutions take shape.

As you step into this summit, I encourage you to look beyond the mechanics of parliamentary procedure. Treat every discussion not as an academic exercise, but as an opportunity to sharpen your intellect, cultivate genuine empathy, and forge alliances that endure long after the final gavel falls.

The success of this conference does not lie in the agendas we set, but in the ambition, integrity, and drive you bring into these rooms. Own your voice, lead with purpose, and build a legacy worth remembering.

Every meaningful conference begins long before the first gavel strikes. It begins with curiosity: the willingness to question what we know, challenge what we assume, and engage with ideas that may be entirely different from our own.

Emporio Youth Summit is built on that very spirit. Over the course of this conference, you will find yourselves surrounded by individuals with different perspectives, experiences, and ambitions. Make the most of that. Speak with confidence but listen with equal intent. Question ideas, defend your own, and never be afraid to change your mind when presented with a better argument. Growth does not come from always being right; it comes from being willing to learn.

Beyond resolutions, debates, and committee sessions, remember that some of the most valuable moments of a conference happen outside the formal proceedings. They are found in the conversations between sessions, the friendships formed across committee rooms, the challenges that push you beyond your comfort zone, and the experiences you carry with you long after the conference concludes.

So take initiative. Be curious. Make mistakes. Ask difficult questions. And above all, make your time here count.

As we gather for the Emporio Youth Summit, I find myself reflecting on the space we are about to create together. A conference of this nature is far more than a simulation of governance or parliamentary procedure; it is an opportunity to understand a world that grows more complex by the day.

In classical antiquity, an emporium was more than a place of trade. It was a crossroads where cultures converged, ideas were exchanged, and lasting covenants were forged. As your Advisor, I hope you honor that legacy.

True statesmanship lies not in the drama of a speech or the outcome of a vote, but in the perseverance of a late-night draft, the patience to understand opposing perspectives, and the courage to seek common ground. Enter your committees with intellectual humility and quiet resolve.

Do not see the floor as a stage for dominance, but as a space to build something meaningful together. Be rigorous in your reasoning, empathetic in your discourse, and courageous in your pursuit of consensus. Remember, a loud voice may command a room for a moment, but thoughtful substance is what leaves a lasting impact.
